Dr. Mehdi Saeed Hazari is a neurophysiologist and environmental scientist, and a 2011 Presidential award winner. He also serves as the Resident Islamic Scholar of the Shia Muslim community of North Carolina and in that capacity delivers speeches, teaches youth groups and provides counseling.
